Young Adventurers Guild
FAQ
Q: What is Dungeons and Dragons?
A: At its heart Dungeons and Dragons is a storytelling game. Tales of high fantasy and adventure are at the core of what a good D&D experience is all about. You may have heard about it from the acclaimed Netflix show Stranger Things, or even played some in your youth. D&D has touched many of our lives in one way or another.
Q: Why should my kid play D&D?
A: Dungeons and Dragons is a game of creative problem solving, imagination, and role-playing. Players take on a character with their own strengths and weaknesses and direct them in their adventure through all the obstacles and adversity they must face. When they do so they party with a group all directed by other people with a storyteller, or Dungeon Master, dictating the way the world reacts to them.
Q: What materials does my kid need to play D&D?
A: The absolute minimum is a piece of paper, and an imagination. The ideal is a set of dice, a character sheet, a Dungeons and Dragons Player's Handbook. I can provide a pdf of the character sheet, and you will need to print it.
Q: What's your refund policy?
A: At this time we are offering refunds under extraordinary circumstances only.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: Currently we accept Paypal and Venmo.
Q: Isn't D&D designed for adults?
A: Kids want to play like adults do. Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition has gained enormous popularity and is known throughout the land.

Q: Can I join an ongoing class?
A: Yes! Our adventures continue in the world shaped by the players, but new explorers are always welcome.
Q: Do your classes have gender diversity?
A: Yes! I frequently have girls in my D&D class and they have a lot of fun!
Q: Isn't D&D all just fighting and violence?
A: While slaying monsters is a large part of D&D, I make sure to put puzzles, riddles, and moral quandaries before my players. I send them obstacles they cannot solve with violence. This inspires their creative thinking and I am always surprised by their unique solutions.
Q: I'm experiencing economic hardship but still think my child would benefit from D&D, can you help?
A: Please email me: ian@youngadventurersguild.com and we will see if we can work something out.
